Ivor Gurney (1890-1937) is regarded as one of the greatest composers of English art-song of the twentieth century and one of the most significant poets of the First World War. His Collected Poems were published in 1982, edited by P. J.Kavanagh and many of his poems are included in anthologies, including the Oxford Book of English Verse.
The Trust’s primary purpose is to preserve and promote Ivor Gurney’s literary and musical legacy.
